Chipinque Ecological Park

There are 22.5 miles of trails traversing the mountain; activities include hiking, mountaineering, rappel, biking, camping, guided tours and excursions. Enjoy the diversity of birds and butterflies, relax in the playground area, visit the observatory, and observe the city in the decks or drink something in the cafeteria.

Estanzuela Park

Well known for its beautiful and pacific trails, with a 1.9 mille pathway surrounded by pine and oak trees forest. A river runs through the park with beautiful Aspen trees, which attracts kingfishers and momot and some crimson-collared grosbeak.

A two miles path paved with cobblestone runs through this beautiful wooded area. Walking by the river will lead you to the Cielo canyon, which is adorned by short waterfalls.

Garcia Caves

This cave was discovered in 1843. Its formation happened more than 50 million years ago. You undoubtedly will be fascinated with its natural monuments and explore its impressive rock formations.

Santa Lucia’s River Walk

Built on the same place where the city was founded, the Santa Lucia’s River Walk connects the Macroplaza with the Fundidora Park, through a two miles long river surrounded by walkways bridges and fountains, as well as cultural, commercial and service facilities.

Enjoy a river cruise on board of touristic boats and learn about Monterrey.

The Fundidora Park

The Fundidora Park is located inside the urban area within the city. This modern park houses extensive walking tracks, an artificial lake, playgrounds for children and a 2.1 miles of road course which is popular for joggers, bicyclists and inline skaters, as well as facilities for cultural, business and entertainment events.


You can rent a bike to explore the park or use comfortable shoes if you prefer to walk.

Ecotourist Park Cola de Caballo

The waterfall streams flowing down from the Oriental Sierra Madre from 80-feet height resembles a horse’s tail. In this park, you can purchase crafts and typical candies; enjoy barbecue areas, as well as horse and / or wagon rides.

Huasteca Canyon

This majestic mass of limestone with vertical cliffs is one of the most spectacular natural monuments in Mexico. This spectacular canyon represents an exciting challenge for climbers of all levels.

Museo del Palacio de Gobierno

Planetario Alfa

Opened in 1978, it was created to promote scientific, technologic and artistic development of those who visit it. It has a garden with reproductions of pre-Hispanic pieces and a fountain. Among its facilities, the Universe Pavilion outstands.

In general, “los regios” (people from Monterrey), love sports, either as fans or as participants. The most popular sports are soccer, baseball, basketball and football, and the most played individual sports are swimming, tennis and racing.

Estadio Universitario

The University Stadium is a soccer stadium located on the premises of the Autonomous University of Nuevo Leon, in San Nicolas de los Garza, a municipality in the metropolitan area of Monterrey, in which the team “Tigres” receive their opponents. The stadium has hosted major soccer legends as Edson Arantes do Nascimento “Pelé”, Diego Armando Maradona and Franz Beckenbauer, Giorgio Chinaglia, among other soccer stars.

Estadio Tecnológico

Estadio de Beisbol Monterrey

The Baseball Stadium is one of the icons of the city of Monterrey. It is located at the north entrance of the city, next to Avenida Manuel L. Barragan, where more than 50,000 vehicles pass every day.
